Michele K. Feinzig, Esq.

Michele K. Feinzig has been practicing law in South Florida for over 30 years.  She began her career at a prestigious Fort Lauderdale law firm practicing civil and commercial litigation and appeals.  In 1993, after having twin sons with the help of assisted reproductive technology, Michele decided she wanted to help others with the legal aspects of creating their families.  That was the year the State of Florida legally recognized gestational surrogacy, allowing assisted reproductive technology to flourish in Florida.  Michele is proud to have helped numerous people on their journey to becoming parents, including some of the first in South Florida to engage in gestational surrogacy, and to have also represented gestational surrogates and donors who so graciously help others become parents.

During her over three decades of practice, Michele has also handled civil appeals in all five of Florida’s District Courts of Appeal, the Florida Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.  She has also provided extensive litigation and trial support in a wide range of civil and commercial cases in diverse areas of law, including family law, personal injury and breach of contract.

Having participated in numerous contentious cases, Ms. Feinzig knows how important it is for contracts relating to assisted reproductive technology to clearly and properly reflect the parties’ rights, responsibilities and intent.  She prides herself on her attention to detail in drafting and reviewing such agreements, and in carefully thinking through the many aspects and possible outcomes of such agreements.  Most importantly, she understands the sensitive nature of the work she does, knowing that her clients entrust her with perhaps the most important legal matter of their lives, and is highly responsive to her clients.

Ms. Feinzig graduated cum laude from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, having attended on a Dean’s Merit  Scholarship.  She is AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell®.  She has been admitted to practice law in Florida since 1988 and is an active member of the Solo/Small Firm and Appellate Practice Sections of The Florida Bar, the Broward County Bar Association (of which she chaired the Appellate Practice Section for several years), the Florida Justice Association, the Broward County Trial Lawyers Association and the Broward County Women Lawyers’ Association.
